Super Bowl LXI Unveils New Logo and Brand Identity

Super Bowl LXI Logo New

The National Football League has unveiled the new logo for the 2027 Super Bowl, designated LXI. Los Angeles and its symbolism inspire the emblem’s design. A turquoise wave is embedded within the numerals, recalling California’s ocean coastline and the architecture of SoFi Stadium, where the championship game will take place. Warm shades of orange and purple used for the Roman numerals reference the city’s well-known sunsets and atmospheric views.

The logo features a central image of the Vince Lombardi Trophy and large letters LXI rendered in a three-dimensional style. The numerals are connected into a single form, with the lower part of the “L” smoothly transitioning into the base of the “X,” which in turn connects to the vertical “I.” Their connection gives the logo a sense of unity, although it makes the individual letters harder to distinguish at a glance.

The turquoise-blue wave integrated into the numerals has become the main detail of the composition. According to the designers’ concept, the flowing lines reflect both the proximity to the ocean and the architectural features of SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, whose roof has a wave-like contour. At the same time, the visual treatment of the wave is more textured and dimensional compared to previous logos.

The color scheme in the LXI emblem is less varied than last year’s and limited to closely related shades within a single part of the spectrum, avoiding excessive brightness and transparent overlays.

Fans have already begun discussing the colors and speculating about the Super Bowl finalists based on the palette.
