Postal Service Logos and Brands

State and semi-state postal services form the core of the Postal Service section. The logos of such organizations have historically incorporated symbols of official authority, from heraldic elements and crowns to post horns dating back to the days of horse couriers. National postal operators, whether it be the USPS in the United States, Royal Mail in the United Kingdom, or similar agencies in other countries, represent a communications infrastructure that has existed for centuries. Their emblems capture the many stages of transformation as bureaucratic institutions gradually became commercial brands forced to compete with private carriers in the logistics market.
