Tostitos Unveils New Logo and Brand Identity

Tostitos Logo New

Tostitos” updated its mark with “Pearlfisher.” The main change concerns the brand’s role at the table. The “Frito-Lay” brand entered select markets in 1977 and expanded nationwide in 1981. The brand grew around corn chips, salsa, and cheese dips. In June 2001, the line introduced the bowl-shaped “SCOOPS!” dip format.

The new identity moves away from the narrow image of a party snack. The focus shifts to the product, its story, and the culture of eating together. “PepsiCo” emphasizes whole corn kernels ground into “masa,” so the updated system gives greater weight to natural ingredients and the shared table.

Tostitos Logo Evolution

The logo kept the main “Tostitos” style introduced in 2003. The two “T” letters resemble two people over a bowl of salsa. In the new version, the pair of “T” letters feels closer to a shared eating scene. The dot above the “i” represents the bowl, while the yellow triangle represents the chips. The mark has become less literal, while the earlier idea remains in the name.

The wordmark has become more streamlined. Sans-serif letters with sharp edges give the brand a more composed look, without the looser typography used before. The red and yellow accents refer to salsa and the corn chip, while the pair of “T” letters turns the name into a small table scene.

Tostitos Symbol

For “Tostitos,” the new logo became a way to tell the product story. The image is built around a familiar situation: chips, dip, and a group gathered around one bowl. Pearlfisher’s update preserves the connection to the old mark while shifting the focus from the party to the corn base (“masa”) and the culture of sharing snacks.
