The Cadillac team has unveiled its first race livery for its debut season in Formula 1 in 2026, instantly taking center stage thanks to a large-scale presentation at Super Bowl LX and a spectacular installation in Times Square, New York. The car is painted in contrasting white and black with a unique gradient featuring repeating Cadillac chevrons. The asymmetry is part of the team’s new brand identity, logically reflecting the American brand’s stylistic code rather than a fleeting design whim.
The car’s debut was planned by the Cadillac Formula 1 team and aimed at a broad audience. First, a video was released during America’s premier sports show, followed by an exhibition of the full-scale race car right in the heart of Manhattan. Sam Peeling directed the presentation video, and the music was composed by Max Richter, one of today’s leading composers.
Checo Pérez and Valtteri Bottas, who have a combined 526 starts and 16 wins to their credit, will be behind the wheel of the Cadillac Formula 1 race cars at the season opener in Australia. Joining them on the project are reserve driver Zhou Guanyu and test driver Colton Herta, who also competes in Formula 2.
The team, formed in partnership with General Motors and TWG Motorsports, is based in Indianapolis and Charlotte, U.S., and at Silverstone, UK. In 2026, it will compete in 24 races on the world’s most famous circuits, including three American tracks: Miami, Austin, and Las Vegas.
Cadillac aims to establish its presence on the global racing stage by offering spectators a design meticulously crafted to the smallest detail, capable of capturing the attention of both motorsport fans and audiences worldwide.
