The Maxi-Cosi logo is associated with coziness and care, offering parents convenient solutions for a comfortable life with children. The brand’s products are practical assistants created with little things in mind, making every trip and everyday moment easier and more convenient.

Maxi Cosi: Brand overview

Maxi-Cosi began in Helmond, the Netherlands, in 1984, when baby-store owner Sjef van der Linden redesigned the American Dyn-O-Mite seat for European cars. He strengthened the structure, added rear-facing installation, and named the product “maximum cosy.” At a time when child restraints were loosely regulated, the new seat helped push European safety standards and road rules toward stricter requirements.

The brand expanded into Germany, Britain, Belgium, and France, reaching 22 countries by 1993. In 1994, van der Linden sold “Maxi Miliaan bv” to Dorel Juvenile Group, owner of Cosco, Safety 1st, Quinny, and Bébé Confort. Headquarters remained in Helmond. Under Dorel, Maxi-Cosi adopted IsoFix mounting, developed the CabrioFix infant carrier, and expanded into strollers and travel systems. CabrioFix received a five-star ADAC rating.

Maxi-Cosi entered the United States in 2007. Its FamilyFix concept allowed several seats for different age groups to use one base. At the same time, products such as Pebble Plus supported the new i-Size R129 rules. In 2014, Pebble Plus became the first infant carrier certified under that standard, which added side-impact testing and longer rear-facing use.

In 2018, the company introduced AxissFix Air, described as the first child seat with built-in airbags. Stored in the shoulder pads, they deployed during a frontal crash, with Maxi-Cosi reporting a 55% reduction in head and neck forces. Britax Römer remained one of its main European competitors.

Maxi Cosi Logo

The Maxi-Cosi logo is warm and friendly, without aggressive lines or rigid shapes. Everything looks soft, simple, and childishly cute, perfectly aligning with the company’s focus on manufacturing car seats, strollers, and everything needed for traveling with babies.

On the left side, there is a circular symbol featuring two figures. They are simple and minimalistic, one larger, one smaller, resembling a parent and a child. The figure appears cozy, as if the parent gently holds the baby. This represents safety, comfort, and care values that the company has emphasized for many years.

The company name is written in a soft, rounded font with smooth, pleasant-looking letters without sharp angles. This aligns with the brand’s focus on young children and on parents who prioritize their babies’ safety. Between the words is a small circular symbol that serves as a separator.

The logo is a soft gray-blue, calm, and easy on the eyes. It conveys a sense of reliability, relaxation, and comfort without bright accents. The monochrome design does not distract but enhances the overall softness of the composition.

Maxi-Cosi is originally a Dutch brand that has gained global recognition for its child safety solutions and innovative car seat and stroller manufacturing technologies. Their products have helped many parents travel with peace of mind, knowing their children are safe. The symbol of the larger figure holding the smaller one perfectly reflects the company’s mission to create products that provide protection and comfort for the youngest passengers.
