The Mirror logo reflects the freedom of expression and control over your content. It symbolizes transparency, the author’s voice, and independence. The platform brings writers and journalists together, offering convenient publishing tools, allowing for interaction with their audience, and protecting their copyrights. The author manages the materials himself, and the emblem has become a sign of a place where creativity finds its audience without restrictions.

Mirror: Brand overview

Mirror was launched in October 2020 by Denis Nazarov, whose decentralized metadata project Mediachain had been acquired by Spotify in 2017. After working as a crypto investment partner at Andreessen Horowitz, he created an Ethereum-based publishing platform intended to give writers greater control over distribution, ownership, and monetization than Medium or Substack. Posts were stored through Arweave, while authors could mint articles as NFTs and sell or distribute them to readers.

During the closed beta, the weekly $WRITE Race controlled publishing access. Users nominated candidates, the community voted, and selected writers received a token granting access. The system limited early growth while building a crypto-focused network. Several hundred authors joined in the first months, including Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin.

Mirror raised at least $10 million across seed rounds involving Andreessen Horowitz and Union Square Ventures. In June 2021, USV invested at a reported $100 million valuation during the NFT boom. Writing NFTs arrived in May 2022, allowing authors to set edition sizes and prices. Web3 subscriptions followed in July, combining wallet-based membership with email alerts for new posts.

The 2022 crypto downturn slowed adoption, and active usage remained small beside established publishing platforms. Nazarov later transferred the Mirror product and brand to Paragraph, another Web3 publishing service, while leaving to develop Kiosk.

Web3 technologies enable users to raise funding, issue digital assets, and interact directly with their audience, without intermediaries. The community of authors has a voting system that helps to select new members, ensuring a high level of published materials.

Mirror Logo

The Mirror logo looks neat and digital. It consists of two parts: a simple blue circle on the left, with a symbol inside resembling an arched window or a mirror with a rounded top section. The shape is neat and reminiscent of a mobile app or platform icon.

The color scheme is very simple: the circle is bright blue, and inside it is a lighter shape with a slight gradient and highlights, creating a reflection effect.

Next to the icon on the right is the company name: “Mirror.” The font is clear, even, sans-serif, strict, and easy to perceive. The font style is typical for IT companies that create user-friendly interfaces and services based on modern technologies.

Mirror Symbol

The Mirror brand is associated with cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology. The company was founded as a platform where users write and publish texts and interact via Ethereum wallets. They publish their articles as NFTs and sell or exchange them. Essentially, Mirror combines written content, financial instruments, and blockchain technologies. The shape of the symbol (a mirror or a window) hints at the platform’s main purpose: reflecting authors’ ideas, transmitting content to others, and creating unique digital assets that people own or trade.

The color palette is cool: shades of blue and light blue for the mirror symbol logically correspond with the digital sphere, internet, and IT themes. The white outline and highlights on the emblem enhance the impression of a glass surface. The entire design aligns with the theme of blockchain products: minimalistic, technological, and clear.
