The name Synthesis Health refers to two different healthcare companies. The first was founded in 2006 in Houston, Texas, by Dr. Hazel Sebrun-Archie as an integrative medicine practice. The second is SynthesisHealth Inc., a radiology and artificial intelligence technology company founded by Dr. Murray Reicher. Both companies operate separately despite the similar names.
Synthesis Health, the medical practice, was created after Dr. Sebrun-Archie’s experience as a certified emergency physician. The clinic focused on integrative medicine, combining conventional treatment, alternative methods, and nutrition. The practice developed personalized wellness programs, including SynCleanse products, and organized educational workshops for patients interested in health and prevention.
SynthesisHealth Inc. followed a different direction by developing a cloud-based platform for radiology departments. The technology supports medical image management, reporting processes, and integration with artificial intelligence tools. The company attracted investment from more than 150 radiologists in the United States and Canada. It later raised $9.52 million to develop its platform and expand operations.
In June 2024, SynthesisHealth signed three multi-site contracts with medical imaging centers in Nevada, Connecticut, and Idaho, together handling more than 700,000 studies annually.
