Vox: Brand overview

Vox is a premium vodka created by Jim Beam Brands in the Netherlands in the 1990s. The name derives from the Latin word “Vox,” meaning “voice.”

The vodka was made exclusively from selected wheat and underwent fivefold distillation for a pure taste. The stylish bottle, made of Austrian glass, was designed by Laura Handler, a New York-based designer.

By the late 1990s, the brand had become popular in bars and restaurants in major cities, including Chicago, Miami, New York, and Boston. Experts from the Beverage Testing Institute highly praised the beverage’s quality.

In 2014, Beam was acquired by the Japanese company Suntory, creating the new international giant Beam Suntory. In April 2024, the company changed its name again to Suntory Global Spirits.

Today, Vox Vodka upholds Dutch production traditions and is recognized internationally as a premium product.

Today

Vox Logo

The VOX Vodka logo demonstrates minimalism and a strict typographic approach in the premium alcoholic beverages segment. The entire composition is executed in two basic colors, black and white. Together, they convey exclusivity and align with the brand’s perception as an elite product.

The logo’s structure consists of only two words, arranged vertically and separated by a neat horizontal line. The upper block holds the brand name “VOX”. These letters are large, vertically elongated, and set in the Impact typeface.

The lower part of the logo is filled with the word “VODKA,” which is smaller than the main name. The typeface chosen is light and horizontally elongated, similar to Helvetica Neue Light. There is ample spacing between the characters, which makes the word feel airy and does not overload the composition.

The black lettering strengthens the brand’s sense of density and solidity. The horizontal black line between the two text blocks serves as a divider, drawing attention to the drink’s name.
