Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team Logo New

The Mercedes AMG PETRONAS Formula 1 Team is entering the 2026 season with a new look, and the changes are already evident in its brand identity. Along with the car’s technical update, the team has redesigned its logo, branding, and livery, moving away from horizontally elongated designs toward a more compact, cohesive layout. This new approach changes how the brand is presented in photos, on media, and on the car itself, marking a transition to a new phase in the team’s history.

The redesign was timed to coincide with the debut of W17. The team unveiled a new version of the logo, cleaner and more cohesive. The logo has become more compact, with nearly square proportions; the three-pointed star has been simplified; and the “Petronas Formula 1 Team” and “AMG” blocks have been rearranged in terms of placement and font to ensure the logo is more legible at small sizes. The entire design looks more cohesive and precise than the previous version.

The new W17 livery continues this direction and ushers in a new era for the team. The green PETRONAS line transitions into a stripe, becoming the central design motif that links the themes of speed and precision with the car’s overall form. The team’s black color stands out more prominently alongside Mercedes’ iconic silver. A diamond-shaped emblem inspired by AMG styling has appeared on the upper part of the side pods, and on the engine cover, it is complemented by the recognizable pattern of Mercedes’ three-pointed stars. All these changes are linked to a new era in Formula 1, new technical regulations, a focus on innovation, and a clearer, more contemporary team identity.
