The Haas team will enter the 2026 season with a new name. In the FIA Formula 1 World Championship, the American team will compete as the TGR Haas F1 Team, with TOYOTA GAZOO Racing, the racing and research division of Toyota Motor Corporation, serving as the title partner. The rebranding is linked to the new alliance between Haas and Toyota Gazoo Racing. It demonstrates how deeply the Japanese brand has become integrated into the team’s identity, its presentation, and its visual identity.
The groundwork for these changes was laid back in October 2024, when the parties formalized a multi-year technical partnership. In December 2025, the collaboration was expanded, after which TOYOTA GAZOO Racing took over as title sponsor from MoneyGram, and the team’s full name for the 2026 season was changed to TGR Haas F1 Team. In Formula 1, Toyota’s appearance on the Haas car will mark the brand’s most prominent presence in the series since 2009. However, the return is through a partnership rather than a factory team.
The changes go beyond just the name. The new VF-26 logo and livery elevate TGR to a key position in the team’s identity, with a white base now dominating the color scheme, accented by Toyota Gazoo Racing. The collaboration also extends to the structure’s operational side. A new simulator is being installed at the team’s base, and the TGR Haas Driver Development Program will strengthen Toyota’s involvement in the team’s internal structure. The partnership is built on the “People, Product, Talent Pool” framework, with an emphasis on training drivers, engineers, and mechanics to develop the talent base, the industry, and motorsport culture. Toyota has a racing history spanning more than 60 years, and TOYOTA GAZOO Racing’s current achievements include leadership and victories in the FIA World Rally Championship and the FIA World Endurance Championship.
