The Avatr logo represents a modern, reserved automotive brand symbolizing engineering precision and attention to detail. Its design reflects the vehicle’s premium quality and cutting-edge technology.
Avatr: Brand overview
Avatr’s history began in 2018, when the Chinese automotive company Changan and the electric-car brand Nio established a joint venture called Changan-Nio. The partnership lasted two years, ending when Nio exited due to financial issues. Changan continued the project, attracting new tech partners, Huawei and CATL.
In 2021, the company was renamed Avatr Technology. Its first model was the fully electric SUV Avatr 11, equipped with Huawei’s autonomous driving technology and CATL batteries providing a 700-km range. Next came the luxury fastback sedan, Avatr 12, in 2023, and the midsize crossover, Avatr 07, in 2024, both featuring CATL’s new Freevoy batteries.
In 2025, Avatr released its fourth model, the Avatr 06 sedan, which is available in both electric and hybrid versions. Avatr is actively expanding internationally and plans to start European sales by 2027. The vehicles are built on the CHN platform, jointly developed by Changan, Huawei, and CATL.
Meaning and History
What is Avatr?
Three major tech companies have partnered with a Chinese manufacturer to create premium electric vehicles. Its lineup includes luxury electric sedans and SUVs featuring advanced autonomous driving and multimedia systems developed by a well-known smartphone maker. Vehicles offer dynamic designs, powerful motors, and rapid battery charging. The brand competes with Western premium electric cars through attractive pricing and advanced technology.
2018 – today
The logo of Avatr, a company created through a technological partnership between Changan and Huawei to produce intelligent electric vehicles, emphasizes the brand’s innovation with a concise, geometrically precise form. The basis is a strict elongated rectangle in which intersecting lines form a composition of several triangles. The points where the shapes meet and the directions of their vertices create an illusion of depth, as if the view extends into space beyond the symbol’s plane.
In the center of the composition is a large inverted triangle. Its vertex points downward, and opposite it is a smaller triangle pointing upward. On the left and right, the design is completed by two mirror-symmetrical triangles that close the structure. The arrangement is perceived as a unified, well-planned form, with clear lines that highlight a technological approach and engineering precision.
Below the emblem is the brand name Avatr. The typeface was designed to match the symbol. The letters are abstract and geometric with consistent stroke thickness and increased spacing. Their shapes have strictly measured contours that combine smooth curves with sharp angles. As a result, the wordmark and symbol merge into a coherent, technologically expressive image.
The logo’s main black color strengthens its connection to modern innovation and underscores the company’s focus on high technology and the electric nature of its products. The short name Avatr adds modernity and clarity, reinforcing the impression of thoughtful design and technological aesthetics expressed through minimalism and the constructivist tradition.
Font and Colors
The logo appears to speak the language of modern technology. Letters seem futuristic, as though drawn by robots. Both “A” letters lack the central horizontal bar, creating an unusual optical effect. The custom sans-serif typeface resembles Betique Bold or Xspace Regular but is bespoke.
The primary color palette is limited to black for the letters. Color inversion is possible, but black remains the primary color. On vehicle bodies, the logo shifts to a matte silver tone resembling steel.
