Two major players in the food market, Mars and Kellogg’s, have completed their merger, forming a new player in the snacks segment. The Mars Snacking division has added the brands Pringles, Cheez-its, Pop-Tarts, Rice Krispies Treats, and RXBAR, which previously belonged to Kellogg’s. These brands expand the already extensive Mars portfolio, which includes SNICKERS, M&M’s, TWIX, DOVE, SKITTLES, EXTRA, KIND, and Nature’s Bakery.

Andrew Clarke, Global President of Mars Snacking, noted that the merger opens broad opportunities for further product line development and the launch of new offerings. Following the completion of the deal, Mars Snacking’s workforce exceeded 50,000 employees across multiple countries, and Mars Incorporated’s total annual revenue reached $ 65 billion.

The intention to proceed with the transaction became public in August 2024. In November of the same year, Kellanova shareholders approved the merger. All regulatory procedures and formal approvals were completed in early December 2025.

Mars is a family-owned corporation with a history spanning more than one hundred years. The company is known for its focus on quality, responsibility, and principles of mutual partnership. Mars operates across food products, snacks, pet food, and veterinary services. After the merger, the portfolio expanded to include Kellanova snacks such as Pringles, Cheez-Its, and Pop-Tarts. Mars also includes pet food brands PEDIGREE, ROYAL CANIN, and WHISKAS, as well as veterinary clinic networks BANFIELD, VCA, and ANICURA.
