The Rimac logo symbolizes a brand built on boldness and engineering precision. The company was founded on a desire to create electric vehicles that surpass expectations and has become an exemplar of combining speed, silence, and technical excellence.

Rimac: Brand overview

Rimac Automobili was founded in 2009 by Mate Rimac, a young inventor, in the Croatian town of Sveta Nedelja. The company’s first notable project was a converted BMW E30, transformed into an electric car with 593 hp, nicknamed the “Green Monster,” which set five FIA electric vehicle records in 2011.

That same year, Rimac unveiled its first original hypercar, the Concept One, featuring 1,224 hp from four electric motors and a top speed of 340 km/h. At the 2015 Pikes Peak race, Concept One placed second overall.

In 2018, Rimac introduced the Nevera, a hypercar with 1,914 hp, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 1.95 seconds and boasting a 650 km range.

A significant milestone was the 2021 joint venture among Bugatti, Rimac, and Porsche. Rimac also supplies components to Aston Martin, Koenigsegg, and Pininfarina. In 2023, the Nevera set a new world speed record for electric cars at 412 km/h. In 2024, Rimac released the enhanced Nevera R to mark the company’s 15th anniversary.

2009 – 2016

Rimac Logo 2009

The first Rimac logo combined classic automotive design with innovative aesthetics. The central element was a shield symbolizing protection and brand authority, featuring a stylized letter “R” that alluded to the aerodynamic design of the company’s supercars.

The shield had a distinctive texture imitating carbon fiber, popular in motorsports, which emphasized the technological advancements and the use of ultra-light materials in electric vehicles by Mate Rimac’s company.

Below the shield, the word “RIMAC” appeared in a strict geometric font with unique cuts, conveying confidence and a premium image.

The monochrome palette of silver and black conveyed technical precision and purity, highlighting the brand’s high-tech nature and premium positioning.

2016 – today

Rimac Logo

In its new period, Rimac chose to simplify its image, adopting a concise style and moving away from previous complex details. The company emphasized its global status with clean lines and strict geometry, eliminating unnecessary decorative elements. Instead of textured effects and metallic shades, a simple monochrome logo appeared.

The logo is based on the outline of a vertically elongated shield, with a smooth, rounded top and a pointed bottom. The outline is rendered in an even dark gray line. Inside the shield, there is no background. At its center is a stylized letter R created from a single continuous line. The left side of the symbol is absent, yet the figure remains readable due to its curves. The letter serves as a metaphor for the company’s technological orientation and the power of its electric vehicles.

Below the symbol is the name RIMAC. The typeface is set in large capital letters with wide letter spacing. The futuristic quality of the letters is combined with their unusual form. Each character lacks part of an element, except for the letter I. The first letter R echoes the symbol inside the shield, but its right leg is shortened, adding additional originality. All letters point to the brand’s technological and innovative foundation.

The redesign was carried out by the Adriatic Creative studio, which conveyed contemporary trends in the automotive market and the premium electric vehicle segment. The new style emphasizes innovation in electric car development.
