2019 – today
In the fall of 2019, a new name, Prosus, appeared on the technology investment market. The brand emerged alongside the spin-off of the international internet assets of the South African group Naspers into a separate entity. The launch date was September 11, 2019. The new company was established as a Dutch multinational conglomerate and began operations as a global platform for managing major technology assets. The brand’s launch was accompanied by the creation of its own visual identity, developed in collaboration with the international branding agency Wolff Olins.
The visual symbol was unveiled simultaneously with the launch of Prosus. The logo is based on an abstract monogram. Its shape resembles a stylized letter “P.” The symbol is composed of geometric elements combining a rounded upper part and a slanted plane at the bottom. The curved segment resembles a semicircle or a wave, while the lower part forms a diagonal edge. The internal voids create a sense of the letter’s volume.
The logo’s color scheme is blue-based. The word “prosus” is positioned below the symbol and set in lowercase letters. A sans-serif monospaced font with a choppy style is used. Stylistically, the typeface resembles Neo Sans. The letters have rounded ends. The word looks high-tech and modern.
