Star Alliance Logos and Brands

The largest global airline alliance, comprising 26 member airlines, is Star Alliance. Founded in 1997 by five carriers (Lufthansa, United Airlines, Air Canada, SAS, and Thai Airways), the alliance covers more than 1,300 airports in 195 countries. Members, ranging from Singapore Airlines to Turkish Airlines and EVA Air, share flight codes, loyalty programs (Miles & More, MileagePlus), and access to VIP lounges. The logo with a five-pointed star and a ring has become a marker of interoperability, where a boarding pass from one airline opens the doors to partner lounges on the other side of the planet. The section documents the visual identity of the structure that has linked competitors into a single network for the convenience of passengers.
